January Gestures

What I love about gestures is the energy of the lines and the way you can tell a story with a simple scribble.

Shmoogers

 I can't stop drawing these creatures, or brainstorming ideas for episodes or merch.... Having a lot of fun playing with them.

Went to Life Drawing today... the first time in about 5 years.... Forgot how much I loved it.  Thought I'd post some of my gestures to inspire me to go back so I can improve and have some more fun.

Bouncing Elephant

Here's a lil somethin' somethin' I did for fun one morning.

Van The Man

Meet Van. I designed him. Greg Berridge modelled and rigged him. He'll be used as a main proxy character for acting assignment for the Digital Character Animation program at Vancouver Film School.
...just testing out a few poses to see how far I can push him before he breaks.

Schmelephants

  Thursday morning I was looking through the Cartoon Modern book and found an elephant I loved which is very similar to my bottom drawing here.... Thursday afternoon I found myself in class doodling funny looking elephants... ended up with nearly 70.... thought I'd post a few of my doodles.... I think I'll clean & ink a few of them up and do a pencil test with my favorite one.
